Artbox let's you buy, sell and exhibit contemporary video art in your home, hotel, museum, gallery, etc in minutes. It's as easy as turning on your TV. Artboxes start at $199. We have already exhibited over 100 artists and have partnered with major arts organisations in Melbourne, Sydney and Beijing. Artbox has been created with the support of a large international collective of artists, collectors, institutions and hackers who use open source techniques and technologies. Artbox 0.6.3 is an open source project and is free to copy and distribute for noncommercial use. With a hardware accelerated Raspberry Pi Model B rev 2 with VideoCore IV decodes smooth, flawless playback of MPEG4 H264/ AVC encoded video files.
