We are building a centralised, online child care wait list management system, that provides a marketplace for vacancies. The system also delivers analytics to both parents and child care centres, on metrics such as projected wait times and placement progression. For parents, the system will:: - Allow parents to sign up to multiple child care centres at one time. - Allow parents visibility of their progress on a wait list. - Allow parents to be notified of openings from child care centres, not only from those they have pre-selected, but by nearby child care centres that they may not have previously considered. For child care centres, the system will:: - Provide an up-to-date view of demand from parents on a wait list, that reflects changes in circumstance (e.g. a child becoming older while waiting on a list). - Provide an easier way to receive applications from parents, and to manage these applications centrally. - Provide an ability to issue vacancy alerts to prospective parents.
