PMAnalytix consists of two components: 1. Hardware: A re-useable hardware platform used by clinicians to collect the data. The hardware platform is portable, low cost, easy to attach, lightweight consisting of wireless motion sensing device. It records the motion patterns on the sensor node, when patients are in their home environment. 2. Software: Smart algorithm (2 patents applied) that translate the acquired data into 3D, making it easy for clinicians to visualise the patient’s movement patterns in the home environment over several hours. PMAnalytix’s statistical report quantifies the motion, enabling clinicians to objectively alter/change rehabilitation program more effectively and provide individualised treatment. Patients can be monitored more frequently, assessment conducted over several hours and patients in rural areas need not travel to specialised motion analysis clinics, reducing traveling time and costs to both the patient and clinicians.
